this is what it’s like: a soundpainting performance

Thursdays at 6pm, July 6, 13, 20, 27

In the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center

Composed and Painted by Max Reuben

I want you to try and remember what it was like to have been very young.
And particularly the days when you were first in love.

When you were like a person sleepwalking, and you didn’t quite see the street you were in, and didn’t quite hear everything that was said to you.
You’re just a little bit crazy.
Will you remember that, please?
- Thornton Wilder, Our Town

Soundpainting employs a gestural language to combine music, movement, acting, and more for improvised performance. Steeped in ensemble and spontaneity, Soundpainting remains a pioneering method for interdisciplinary collaboration and performance.

Part of “Late Night at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center”.
Free and open to the public. No ticket required.
