By William Shakespeare

In a time that could be now and a place that could be here, a "fair, virtuous maid" is forced to plead to the government for her brother's life. Surely the stern, well-reputed Deputy will listen, without abusing his power over her. If not the Deputy, surely the all-powerful Duke, upon hearing her plight, will hear her without any thought for himself? If not the Duke, surely a lord, or some other official, or a friend, or even her brother? Questions of law, authority, power, and patriarchy are explored in a new ensemble adaptation of Measure for Measure, with music and movement created by the cast.
